Slipknot has played OzzFest several times, sold millions of albums, played to some of the biggest European Festival crowds on record, but until last week they had never won a Grammy.

The group captured the award for Best Metal Performance for the song "Before I Forget." The band was asked backstage where winning a Grammy ranks among their accomplishments, and Paul Grey said it’s up among the top.

The band added that the fans are really what matter to them, and that they wouldn’t be anything without the power of their following, dubbed "Maggots," behind them. Slipknot is taking a break, but fans can get the live experience with the two-disc set, 9.0: Live.
