@ilikecorn235 Joan Baez has written and performed over 80 of her own songs. Additionally, some singers are known as folk singers, or interpretive folk singers, and they create beautiful renditions of older and newer songs of others. If this type of music is not your preference, you simply don't have to listen to it. But many of us find her voice and interpretations to be like that of an angel and so beautiful to listen to.
