  • how long did you put her in there? how long can they stay in there? plz reply

  • @thebettafish1 Never leave them in longer than 48 hours it just stresses them to much. i always use to cover the tank (if room lights was on) and give her a little bit of food and put the tank lights out. This particular fish was only in the trap a short time before giving birth, after i knew she was finished, i released her. hope this helps.

  • We have this fish that was pregnant, she got so big she couldn't swim anymore but would not give birth... so finally she exploded and died. That was sad... but she wouldn't give birth... so I wonder why?

  • @seagurl81 Thats not pregnant, thats dropsy, untreated.

  • @DarkIngrid100 It may be dropsy. I would call a vet and ask them to see if she's pregnant, or has dropsy. (Pregnancy, hopefully)

  • i am on that weird part of youtube again

  • @DarkIngrid100 it can be if its one month or older

  • @OnoeHoshino thnx ...i got like 25 fries .. 2 of them were eating by mistake

anyway i know the technique now

  • @AtishRamkhe If you have decent hiding places, the babies should be fine in the tank with the adults. I used to find them after the birth and carefully transport them to the breeder box, but I don't bother anymore. I just let them fend for themselves. I find they grow faster that way, anyway. Of course, the box makes water changes easier, and you can watch them grow. I've had many generations, but of this batch, I'm currently on my third.

  • @DarkIngrid100 You can usually see the eyes of the babies before the female has given birth. At least in my experience. Look at the dark spot in front of the anal fin(where the babies in this video were coming out of).

  • Hey, i have a platy that looks almost that round but she's quite young so is she pregnant or not?
