Kriss, 15, was walking in Pollokshields on the south side of Glasgow, Scotland on March 15, 2004 when he was grabbed and forced into a car by five Asian men. They sped off with him trapped inside the vehicle. Eyewitnesses saw the abduction and heard Kriss screaming, and the friend Kriss was walking with asked for help, but no one intervened or contacted police. Later, Kriss's body was found in Glasgow. He had been held for a number of hours after his kidnapping, and had been beaten to death.
Police have arrested some suspects in connection with Kriss's murder. One of the men involved is believed to have fled to his native Pakistan. As of May 2004, the suspects are awaiting their trials.
Kriss was a student at Bellahouston Academy at the time of his murder.
