@Hankster58 as a south asian i find it funny how many things that are claimed to be of indian origin are hijacked and commercialised by westerners. i always hear 'namaste, india is so magical, do you do yoga?' um, no namaste, salaam, no, in india where 70% of people dont have access even to clean water people get lots of chance to stretch normally by trying to survive rather than sit in front of TV, and no india isnt magical, for most people it sucks they still have the friggin plague.

@Hankster58 , all this young lady is doing is placing her hands on the client's head! there is nothing else going on here! I wonder how much she charges for these 'reiki sessions'. great for bored rich people. While i do think that there are some benefits to massage and other types of body work, i also think its insane to call someone a 'reiki master' when all they do is put their hands on your head. you can get a more relaxing theraputic experience having your hair brushed by a 5 year old.

Science?? LOL!! Funny.... If you are that "closed minded", don't bother. The wife and I both practice Reiki.... and yes, it works for us. Will it cure cancer?? No, not like you are thinking, can it EASE the suffering a cancer patient may be going thru? YES! Now I'll toss you one. When you can show me, by the laws of Science, AND Physics, that a Bumblebee can fly, (because according to both, it CAN'T! get the idea?) then I'll denounce Reiki....LOL!!! ;-)

1 Start with a disprovable hypothesis
2 do an experiment
3 if the hypothesis is contradicted reject the hypothesis
Where are the randomised control tests showing Reiki works? I can find none
Belief works like this:
1 Close your mind to what you can observe
2 become dogmatic that you are right
If you are prepared to (potentially) risk your life for what you believe, then that is your right. It is not your right to encourage others to do it
