A legend, Jerry's playing is beyond phenomenal and luminous, I agree, the greatest Dobro player who has ever graced the instrument. Solo, with Alison Kraus & union Station, his many side projects & bands, with Bela Fleck, his soundtrack work, just a titan of roots music & exquisite beauty.

@LycoValleyRRFan i think you are right there,its not very nice even to put that option on you tube ,although some say any reaction is better than none at all,i am learning to play dobro at the moment and this video is good for me to watch,he's good ! very good!!

All I know is....I'm thankful, VERY thankful to have been born in a space and time that I could listen to the likes of Mr. Jerry Douglas play his beloved Dobro.
Who cares who thinks he is or is not, the best in the world; as long as seeing him play LIVE makes your tummy roll and makes you play Air Guitar to keep up with him, he deserves respect.
He touches the hearts in Bluegrass fanatics, and thank you Jerry for sharing your talent with the world.
