stop about the sexism its set in the 1800s
and people including the women thought a man was a man if you get what im saying
-
no, but i think that girl is sexest, what with all her "if i were a man" talk, so i suppose you could also say that i find the whole film in general a bit sexest, but not at the time it was made cos that was a pretty sexest time frame "women are supposed to be calm and gentle" and all that crap

funny thing about this film is it reeeeealy speaks for animals but its sexest as hell

Thank you so, so, so much for putting this song up.

I think you may be getting sexism mixed up with feminism? Not sure, but she seems like she wants to be progressive. She wants to have the same rights as a man, to break out of the repressive time in which she lives... that's my final word...

I don't think the movie is sexist, just because the Docter is, but he can't stand any humans except the 3 he eventually travels with... The Matthew character isn't sexist, he's just joking, and I don't get sexism from the movie overall. Besides, it's a period piece... it doesn't take place in 1967. I believe it takes place at the time when the book was written, but it may be more like the 1800's in the movie... I'm not sure, but it doesn't take place in 1967.
