i lived at the university inn in 1979---i came to manoa with my buddy jim from maine...i remember we lived under the stairs attached to the main inn while waiting for a bungalo out back to open up...we would go over to u-hawaii and eat in the student cafeteria...larry was really a great landlord...we would see him everyday at the hilton hawaiian village as we did our dailey trek to waikiki...im 59 now and was 23 then hope to bring the family in feb.12--will surely stop to take a look.. - John C
Oh my god! I lived at the Inn in 1978 and its so wonderful to hear that Larry Wright still owns the Inn and to see how little its changed on the outside. What a magical place. Very special mana. My children grew up hearing stories about all that happened at the University Inn during my tenure there and now one of them lives in Hawaii, where she was born. Much aloha to Larry and his lovely wife.

I've lived at The University Inn for 3 years now and I LOVE IT! Larry and Maria Wright are wonderful hosts who truly make you realize that you are at home. And the location - Manoa Valley just inland from Waikiki beach - is terrific. Very quiet, safe neighborhood in Hawaii's most exclusive location. I highly recommend the University Inn - you won't be disappointed!
