  • Marty you did a great job as the lead singer in this song cover of Little Star

untill all the Chevrons are reunited in Doo Wop Heaven! R.I.P. Buddy.

  • pretty good. Just not a hit.

  • not bad, sounds slowed down, but nice, try, bobby vees or Dion version,

  • not bad......I also like "True Love Affair" by the Elegants with Frank Tardogna on lead.

  • doktorsung: This is "Marty" of "The Chevrons" again. I don't have time right now to elaborate on our version of "Little Star", but you can bet I'll set the record straight (no pun intended) as to why we were asked to record "Little Star" in the first place. If you want to email me you can do so at: lapperjohn@yahoo.com CIao For Now!

  • doktorsung: My name is John "Marty" Trautman, co-founder of "The Chevrons". Our recording of "Little Star" was not meant to be a ripoff in any sense of the word. Vito Picone & "The Elegants" were a terrific group from Staten Island, NY. In fact, "Little Boy Blue" was their sequel to "Little Star", & they had several great singles after "Little Star". One of my favorites is "True Love Affair". APT Records really dropped the ball on The Elegants. Number one with "Little Star" then nothing!

  • The Chevrons where five teenagers Dennis Minoque aka Terry Cahman lead singer, Marty Trautman Second lead and second tenor, Frank Williams was first tenor, Gary Giodan was baritone, and Al Conde was the bass.

Washington Heights, New York, USA. Circa 1959 thru 1961. (That Comes With Love/Day After Forever) (Lullabye/Don't Be Heartless)

Followed by a album called (Sing A Long Rock N' Roll) with 24 hits of the era, two singles where taken out (Little Star and Come Go With Me)

  • hey dok a great tune i don't know which one i like better the Elegants or this both great

  • Klasse song, Doc! Komm gut ins neue Jahr!

  • Sieh's eher als Wunsch und nicht als Angebot... ich sag auch brav bitte
