An absolutely classic Canadian Band. I wore out 2 copies of their self titled original vinyl before I finally found it on CD. The final chapter of "The Rogues" - "Mandala" - "Bush" Trilogy. There was so much talent there. Prakash created his own unique style and ultimately influenced many californian Bass Players, Whitey Glann FUNKED-IT-UP! like no other drummer& toured with "Alice Cooper" & "Lou Reed". "I Can Hear You Calling" from their one & only album, was a huge hit for "Three Dog Night" after they covered it. Of course Dom went on to join "The James Gang" & "The Guess Who" & then established his own career back in Canada. And the music is still magical and speaks for itself. Love you Dom!

  • Good song, but will soon get sick of it.

  • @80s2Heart - Yeah, you're probably right. So do yourself a favour & don't listen to it too often. All us Torontonians really dig it though, 'cause we get all the references!

    Cheers, D.J.Bingham

P.S. We should just be glad that they had the foresight to make a video! it was ahead of it's time!

  • is that Young Street or Yonge Street? were they being geographically non-specific I wonder? either way awesome post!

  • It's supposed to be Yonge Street. I screwed up - it was really late when I put it together & downloaded it.

  • @indigorob; I "loaned" my best 25 or so LPs back in the late 70s, trusting my "friend" to return them. Never happened. I have actually never seen nor can I find that friend - even all these years later. Got away with my precious "sounds". After much sleuthing I did manage to find one LP. Bush DOMENIC TROIANO Canada 1981. Precious is putting it mildly. I hear these numbers in my head "exactly" as they were played live in the clubs on Yonge. email me @ bobcat.west@yahoo.ca for contact info.

  • Reminds me of these asshole teenagers who used to bully me when I was between four and eight. By the way they suck.

  • can any of their CDs be bought or mp3's?

  • I saw Bush in Edmonton, Alberta in/around '72 and they blew me away...an extrodinary band. I'd love to find a re-released CD of the band and/or Domenic Toriano. Any suggestions???

  • I remember seeing these guys LIVE at the High Park Sunday afternoon free rock concerts at the park in Toronto in the early 70's ..... awesome. I also recall a LOT of cops there that day looking for drugs. Ah, Toronto in the 70's. Also on the bill that day: Abernathy Shagnaster's Wash & Wear Band and Mandala. Great concerts. And the price was certainly right!

  • OOOOH MAN THIS JUST MADE MY DAY!! I HAPPEN TO BE A HUGE FAN OF THIS BAND AND I WORE OUT MY VINYL COPY MANY MOONS AGO.THE DRUMMER AND BASS PLAYER ALONG WITH DON TROIANO WERE CLASS MUSICIANS,THE DRUMMER AND BASSIST LATER JOINED ALICE COOPER ON THE WELCOME TO MY NIGHTMARE
