This is the conversion of a new Hafco HM-52 manual metal knee mill to CNC (Computer Numericaly Controlled)
The job is a new X axis servo mount. Firstly the mill drills 5mm holes in all the plunge cut positions the milling cutter has and then a 2 flute solid carbide ball end mill cuts out the holes. After that a 12mm insert cutter does the rest. Software is Mach3, Srevo Drives are CNCTeknix Tek10's. Full conversion can be viewed at cnczone.com and search for threads by chich2
