@rentonis that's not true at all. The ball was coming back onto Mahut's side of the net, so and had to reach over. Try extending your arm straight out in front of you with a racquet, all you can do is use your wrist. So no, a smash wasn't possible, andy played the best shot available to him. If Andy messed up at all, it's that he paused for a split second after hitting the shot, not thinking that mahut would get to it. Even then, it wouldve been hard to get to.
