SHOT BREAKDOWN:
00:05 - 00:24
Second Year Group Project:
Wrote python scripts to simulate tree growth:
Branches generated randomly using CV curves defined from user's trunk curve. Mesh then extruded, rigged, weight painted and keyframed along the curves. The leaves spawn on the vertices of the branches playing an animation clip. I also animated leaves in transition to the kangaroo and elaborated the python script to spawn dots.
Software: Maya
00:25 - 00:31
Compositing Project:
Shot a green-screen action plate and used Shake to composite this onto a still backplate.
Software: Shake
00:32 - 00:43
Motion Reference Project:
Researched, observed, modelled, rigged and animated a cat's performance based on a live action clip.
Software: Maya
00:44 - 00:52
First Year Group Project - Character Demo:
Modelled, rigged, set-up and animated the chameleon character. Wrote a python script to generate the secondary motion of the tail.
Software: Maya
00:53 - 01:05
Partially Automated Lip-sync Script:
Wrote a 'dope sheet' style tool for animators to perform quick lip-sync. Select a time range and enter phonemes into the table, controlling articulation levels and able to save sheets out and load them back in. Currently being developed to control the prominence of consonant sounds interactively.
Software: Maya
Music: 'Cyborg Blevo' by Steve Blevin
