Hey who agrees with me that this film and other Hal Ashby are all true classics. He was the 60s and 70s indie creater. His work never got the attention of some of the other big hits of the time but all were recognized as classics. Great stories, real life characters that you could feel what they were going through. You could tell he really wanted to make truly uncommercial interesting work that you never see today

Anyway Harold and Maude is classic still love it along with Shampoo. Peace

That's hardly true. An older man with a younger woman is a very much more common occurrence than what is presented in this film.  And ursusem is right - so long as both people are adults and there is no manipulation or power play involved, then there is nothing wrong with this.
