One of my favorite scenes from 1971s Harold and Maude.
The song at the end is Where Do the Children Play? by Cat Stevens

  • This dissolve effect from 0:22 - 0:24, and the cut between 0:56 - 0:57 are my favorite moments in this scene. It's just beautiful on every level, IMO. We all have those moments when we're captured by the film we're watching, something that warms the heart, and those were mine.

  • I'm a harold but old and i will find me a younger maude. a guy that will teach me how to be young

  • my favourite scene from a great movie.

  • One of my favorite scenes from the movie.

  • i've seen this movie probably ten times on video but it wasn't until i saw it in the theater two years ago that this scene really hit me.

Seeing that last moment on the large screen is breathtaking.

  • This film really speaks to me. How genuine, and realistic it is to life. And I'm timid to admit that I'm a girl whose Harold's age, but am infatuated with a man whose 35 years my senior. And although this is a peice of fiction, it gives me hope that I may possibly have a chance to share my feelings with him, if he returns them that is.

  • love it

  • That moment always makes me cry. Maude is so wise.

  • peace

  • Maude is my role model.
