@fuleng72 Your impression of the Bible comes from Marx and Lenin rather than the Bible itself. The Romans persecuted Christians and the Normans were Catholics, they barely used the Bible - it was banned in English and French both.

Job and the Torah, the first books, were written about 2000BC. Revelation, the last book, 90 AD. If you have any other questions, I'd be happy to answer. Perhaps you should look into biblical prophecy. The prophecy for America's near future isn't good. Cheers.

@fuleng72 The truth is that the Bible incites the people against tyrants. That's why it backfired on King Henry VIII for instance. Bible based governments like early America, Calvin's Geneva, and the Dutch Republic are free. Job and Abraham lived about 2000 BC, Job dates from this time. Moses penned the Torah about 1400 BC from sources dating back to Abraham's time. If you get your biblical knowledge from Lenin, of course you're going to see the Bible as "bad". I suggest you read it one time.

@BWFSabian I'd be happy to answer any Bible questions, or try to discuss philosophy as best I can (my background is science) but unfortunately I can't understand how it is that you acquaint a 4000-year-old book of prophecy and divinity with a a soft-soled, heelless shoe for infants.
