The Naked Scientist - presented by Carol Vorderman

Popular scientist Dr Chris Smith presents a radio programme on parasites and ultraviolet LED's for clean water. The Naked Scientists are a media-savvy group of physicians and researchers from Cambridge University who use radio, live lectures, and the Internet to strip science down to its bare essentials, and promote it to the general public.

Each week, listeners of all ages and backgrounds tune in on a Sunday evening to hear creator Dr. Chris Smith, together with his entertaining sidekicks, interview renowned scientists and researchers from all over the world and take science questions on any subject live from the listening public.

I only found out about The Naked Scientists early this year. I'm hooked. Hats off to Chris and the team - they do an amazing job. I particularly like the dulcet tones of Dave and his revelations on physics. I hope this show goes on forever!

The Naked Scientists forum really believes in FREEDOM.

They lock a 9 month old thread about the Conservation of Momentum and ban someone for questioning the moderator about it.

Geezer couldn't explain a single thing wrong with the experiment. He complained about friction but my video already had a comparison demonstrating that was not a factor. Then I got banned.

I discovered this circuitously by chance - firstly throught the BBC Live up all night Dr Karl podcast: Chris Smith sometimes stands in for Dr Karl. But I just discovered last week that there is a separate Naked Scientist programme and podcast. And...deep joy...over a hundred old podcasts to get through.

Love the show - prefer Chris Smith to Dr Karl (I think Dr Karl's grasp of physics is better but he is a wee bit irritating).
