Only the Simpsons could get Michael Jackson and The Ramones to sing happy birthday to 2 of its characters

Michael Jackson seemed like one of the few genuinely good celebrities, sadly he got all the propaganda against him just for being different.

Kipp lennon sang this song !
Lennon has contributed to several episodes of The Simpsons: in the episode "Stark Raving Dad", although Michael Jacksonperformed the speaking part of Leon Kompowski, a character who pretended he was Michael Jackson, Lennon sang the songs because Jackson wanted to play a joke on his brothers and fool them into thinking the impersonator was him. Most notably he sang the song "Lisa, It's Your Birthday," written by Jackson within the episode.
-
He actually sang for it, this version however was not input into the show. The version they played was indeed sung by a different person due to legal disputes. Damn Sony.
-
@napalmman420 actually, micheal only did the speaking voice for the character, someone else did the singing voice.
-
micheal wnated to do the voice but his recording company wouldnt let him
-
@UnexplainableIdiot Actually, your wrong. Micheal Jackson actually provided the voice and song for the SImpsons and the Character they created for him to portray, Micheal Jackson also wanted to be credited on the cast as "John Jay Smith" so he wouldn't have taken away any star power or money away from the cast.

thats not micheal singing you know....
-
