Oh no, Flow isn't wearing his helmet. Someone quick, put Floe's helmet on for him. I watched him play this game at EVO and was actually quite impressed that he doesn't drown himself in the shower looking up at the ceiling like a retard every morning. I didn't think anyone who actually played video games as much as him could be so awful and so incompetent. He was incapable of figuring out controls, and he wouldn't even TRY to hit the buttons to test things out. He was so fucking terrible.

Now, disliking the game and concept is fine, it is based on 80's game concepts.

Difficulity in those games did not give an obvious reward, there wasn't a need, completeling a difficult level, after dying over and over again, gave early gamers a big rush of accomplishment, it is these hardcore gamers who say today's games are too easy.

Story wasn't a big focus, it would go over most kids heads, who didnt care.

Some games back then had a story, but didn't have good gameplay, and sunk in sales.

I hate IWBTG difficult AND concept. Difficult is unfair, because EVEN powerups kills you. And the concept? Is just like Action 52's Cheetahmen but taken to ELEVEN: a mess of recycled sprites.

Meanwhile, Battle Kid is way more fair, the One Hit Point Wonder stays, but traps are in plain sight, bosses are hard (and tricky at times), has an actual story from bedinning to end and its sequel promises much more. Also, Battle Kid REWARDS for beating on higher difficulties.

Do you just hate the difficultly though, or the game as a concept?

Because there seems to be something not right with you if you like battle kid, but don't at least appreciate the game it spawned off of, I mean, it is a clone just like the rest, isn't it?

You could be entirely alone though, after giving it some thought.
