God bless Annette there will be a place for her in heaven after her long sad illness. She gave us so many happy moments over the years and reminds us what a great country this used to be.

Yes, Annette performed this on "AMERICAN BANDSTAND" {she "lip-synched" to her recording} in Hawaiian costume, when it was originally released in 1960.

The song was written especially for her by Richard & Robert Sherman (who later wrote the songs for "Mary Poppins" and other Disney films), and was a "Top 40" hit for her in the summer of 1960, and featured on her "Hawaiiannette" album.
