The general view is that sheep live a life of contentment in lush green paddocks and undergo the occasional shearing to obtain their wool. That's certainly not the case for some sheep who are kept in intensive conditions to protect their fine fleeces. We speak to Lyn White from Animals Australia who visited such a farm to see what life is really like for these sheep. http://www.animalsaustralia.org/

An outrageous way to keep sheep and along with all factory farming outlawed immediately. I think that animal farming should play an economic and ecological role in the landscape and, consequently I am not vegetarian but the way in which animals live out their lives is an issue which has to be adressed on both ecological and, above all, humane values.

Even the smallest thing like being able to move around in the barn instead of being put in small individual pens, in a barn, make the hugest difference. They would get to interact with each other, walk around and over all avoid bordom. There is really no comparison between a herd of sheep in a barn and the way these sheep are living in the video. Sure some sheep are happy living in the barn sometimes but the sheep in this video are clearly NOT happy :/

Good point, we are humans, and they are animals. Now we all know that there isn't anything wrong with harvesting animals.
