I like the idea that apart from the singer, the rest are just the guest musicians and friends helping to fill out the numbers. There's nothing to say that certain records weren't made by individual or pairs of members simultaneously and then released one after the other. Or not. It really doesn't matter.

The 13th Anniversary album is awesome, and the version of Picnic in the Jungle featured on it is the best version of all time. Much because of this fucking great solo. R.I.P. Snakefinger.

Dude, Chuck Norris IS The Residents. He's all 4 members. He has a time machine and he collected 3 more of himselves to produce The Residents. Even molly Harvey is Chuck Norris! A female version of course. Used by clone therapy in Area 77012. There, the mystery is solved.
