Officials are investigating after a fire broke out on East Philadelphia Avenue above the Boyertown Community Library, leaving an elderly woman dead. A little after noon on August 5th, fire alarms went off in the library and director Ed Goyda knew the fire wasn't on the first floor, so he stepped outside to see what was wrong.

...but by the time rescue crews were able to reach her, it was too late.
Most of the damage was contained to the victim's second floor apartment, however some minor smoke, heat, and water damage took place in the first-floor library.
Signs are posted stating that borrowed items from the library may be returned next week without any penalties. There is no word as to the cause and the library is expecting to reopen next week.

Would you happen to know about who they arrested for the Gilbertsville Elementary Bomb threat? My mom heard from her friend that a student finally was caught for the bomb threats and was arrested and put in some detention place until he's 21, though she didn't remember the name of the student.
