  • a) That's just not true, the cities have huge infrastructure needs as well.

    b)These projects are funded by past budgets, this budget hasn't even fully passed yet.

    c)Specific projects aren't listed in budgets, just the overall infrastructure fund $.

  • Harper: for when you want to put politics ahead of policy every time, regardless of how bad it is for the country.

  • Ignatieff and Harper... ugh... yeeeechhhh...ayiyiyi. What an awful era in Canadian politics to be stuck in the middle of.

  • Most of the federally funded infrastructure needs in Canada are in rural and suburban ridings, where the Liberals are not in power. Other elements of the budget, like the money for cities, help Liberal ridings.

    Besides which, isn't that the same budget the Liberals voted for?
