Most of the federally funded infrastructure needs in Canada are in rural and suburban ridings, where the Liberals are not in power. Other elements of the budget, like the money for cities, help Liberal ridings.
Besides which, isn't that the same budget the Liberals voted for?

a) That's just not true, the cities have huge infrastructure needs as well.
b)These projects are funded by past budgets, this budget hasn't even fully passed yet.
c)Specific projects aren't listed in budgets, just the overall infrastructure fund $.
