Croatian Vlasic pulls of best high jump this year

Croatian Blanka Vlasic won the women's high jump, improving her world's year best by one centimeter to 2.07 meters on her third attempt. The jump was also a stadium record. Vlasic then attempted to break the 20-year-old women's world record but failed with all three attempts at 2.10. (WCSN, WCSN.com)

I was there in Rome, 1987 when Bulgarian Stefka Kostadinova set the WR of 2.09M! It's been around long enough now... I hope Blanca gets it this year! She's earned it, she is so good for the sport! GREAT personality!
