I had this game. Loved it. I loved seeing all those awesome names again. I didn't have the voice adapter though.

Son of a gun, I KNEW this game existed. I remember seeing something in a flyer Intellivision had sent me way back in the day--I thought I was going nuts all this time that maybe I had just imagined it.

@no1cp What's on second. Who's on first. It was a long fly ball to Because. Why? I Dunno, he's on third, and I Don't Give a Darn!

was psyched to find this game in an odd lot thrift store for cheap in 1983 or 84 after seeing the commercials in probably 82 and having wondered what had happened to it's release - greatest baseball video game at that point in time - moose minkoff, speed kaestner, lefty dahlgren - doc tomlinson 56 homers! - that was huge for 1982! - thanks for posting

I could not get santa or my parents to bring me the voice adapter for Christmas. I wanted this game so badly...

Wait... the first batter hit a double into the left center gap. The next batter flies out to right field, and they double up the 1st batter at first base. How is that possible when he was on 2nd base to begin with?!

I don't remember this one, wow. Burner Reeder.
This title was revolutionary for several reasons, one of which is the amalgamation of perspective, angles views, and voice commentary, to present a homogenized general cinematographic language. The original intent was to simulate a television broadcast, but the result goes far beyond that, for the medium. It accomplished something we nowadays take for granted - the immersion of the player into a film-like narrative.
