@makotoflamenco Muy bien dicho.

In the most relaxing of settings, this timeless guitar sounds takes me from reality. I see the Mediterranean once again and feel the passion of youth. Thank you for posting this.

vaya picao el tio sabas!!
To say that compas is unneccessary or a hindrance is to misunderstand flamenco. Compas is not simply basic beat. It encompasses the rythymic accents that define and separate a fandango from a buleria, a solea from a siguiriya. Compas is the drummer and coherent music is not possible with an erratic drummer. This is true for flamenco, classical orchestra, rock & roll or reggae. Compas is rule without restriction, a framework that supports great personal interpretation. Sabicas yes, Montoya no.

how would flamenco even exist if it werent for experimentation or uniqueness? surely playing differently is a form of expression in itself. i reckon don't take musical categories too seriously, were just animals playing with sound after all. Dont be afraid of change because their is no optimum.
