Your doing really good dude. Shed off those pads and hit some street, you need to taste the concrete also. Those pads are hindering your movements. Dad, take that kid out street skating and get him away from those parks, as young as he is he should be hitting street spots already. My son was like that at one time also, never wanted to street skate, then he met a bunch of kids that pushed him into it and now he can tear anything up. Look him up, joey bondi
