The already wealthy have emerged from the global recession in an even wealthier position. What does the rise of global elites mean to power and influence at home and abroad?
Creating wealth doesn't mean making money. For you duh-masses out there, Tupac's "make a dolla outta 15 cents" is a way to look at it.
Working for an hourly wage is lazy, brainless and ineffective. Bears and Bulls are becoming Dinosaurs.Welfare.. I won't even go there. Borrowing money to get ahead is as stupid as it gets. Buying in bulk wholesale and selling at retail is slow, dangerous and cumbersome.
Creating something out of nothing and selling it is the key.
Rampant neo-liberal capitalism is not the answer and rampant welfare statism is not the answer. The answer will lie in empowering local communities and yes THE ASSOCIATIVE STATE! That is the only alternative we have in the face of the harsh realities of globalization.
Inequality is a fact of nature. Hierarchy is a fact of nature. I would disagree with the socialist "economist" who quipped about "noblesse oblige". It is because her co-ideologists have done away with the aristocracy and the landed gentry that there is this massive inequality today. Somebody had to fill the vacuum and these small number of people have amassed massive amounts of wealth without bringing the aristocratic values of "noblesse oblige" and so on with them.
well the aristocracy vs meritocracy argument is useless given the little i know about the wealth of those mentioned any conclusion lacks sufficient data/evidence... Im not surprised that their was no mention of environmental, ecological and consequently health degradation in modern industrializing nations like China, Brazil and India, that coincide with economical growth..
bad comparison by chrystia between the guilded age and today. most industrial moguls like rockefeller carneige vanderbilt etc worked VERY hard to amass fortunes through their trust/merger/corporate endeavours. sure some were born into wealth but some weren't. i would like to see hard statistics showing ceos of companies work any harder today to amass capital than moguls did in the guilded age.
They earned it? Really? You are talking about greed, ego, theft, murder, deception and total disregard for others well being to obtain POWER. And that dumb bitch is defending that?Notice she is wearing a red dress, a whore to these "elite", she sold her soul to try and be close to them. The world can be a place with NO MONEY, it is these "elite" who will do ANYTHING to keep the system in place. The BABALONIAL system is coming to an end, lucifer loving "elite" will fall and who will you admire then?
Its definitely ratio, the wealth of the world doesn't grow or decrease, it is how it is shared, and there are a lot of people taking advantage through religious sentiments to obtain wealth as they always. Dictators, who knows how much they have robbed their citizens of their earned money, pushing their own people into poverty, and riding on 'gobalization'. It's disgusting how we're letting this happen...
