KWVR Summer Steam Gala 2009 Part 1 28-6-09

Sorry guys about this being ssooooooo late only I have had some real problems uploading it! Even as I type I'm looking at the upload bar and its saying that it'll take 7 HOURS to upload.

The KWVR held a summer steam gala of the weekend of the 26 - 28th June after the success of last years 40th Anniversary Gala. The only sacrifise of the Summer Steam gala is that there won't be Autumn Steam Gala!

On Saturday 27th you may have seen me at Keighley (both platforms) giving out gala programms or stewarding on the last Shuttle to Settle Junction of the day! Sadly I didn't take my camera.

Anyway moving on from the Saturday to the Sunday and me and my dad went down to test the new tripod and still to this day I trying to sort out the kinks in it! Sunday I spent alot of time on my own at Ingrow West because my dad cannot run very well because of his foot so I had to run to catch the connecting servises. The only failer of the weekend was the visiting O4 63601 from the Great Central Railway. This loco bowed down to superheater problems on the Friday after wizzing up on the Friday express from Keighley - Oxenhope in 13 Mins!

---BR (ex LMS) 'Jinty' 0-6-0 47279 (spare - took the place of 63601)---
---1704 Nunlow (current BLS working flagship)---

In this part (and in any parts to come) all the footage is taken in order of when it was taken so the footage is...
1. 09:55 from Keighley running round its train ready for the 10:40 departure to Keighley (80002)
2. 11:15 Vintage train from Keighley tackles the 1 in 58 out of Keighley running to Ingrow West (85/1704 Nunlow on rear)
3. Nunlow propels the Vintage stock with 85 into Ingrow sidings
4.11:40 from Keighley arrives at Ingrow with WD 90733 at the helm
5. The above departs
6.11:40 from Oxenhope arrives behind Jinty 47279 and L&Y 957
