hi, Im a british citizen about to apply for my texan fiancee to come to england with me on an engagement visa. I am a little bit confused.... you are saying that we have to have 3 months worth of income ....i have also heard that you can have enough money for 100.56 a week. which would mean that we could come with savings. i really dont want to leave her for 3 or 4 months to get my job etc.... are you 100% i have to have employment already.
Thanks\

@tlecore The regulations have changed , and the required evidence is now 6 months and not 3. My videos are for the Spousal Visa- which is when you have already married. For the Fiancée Visa- they are not allowed to work for 6 months, so it is imperative that enough money is in savings and yes, you need to be working. No one likes to leave their partners, but unfortunately we have to (in most case's). I was separated for 6 months...its not fun. Good luck.

Hi Pepper Ann,.... may I ask you a couple more questions... did you make flight reservations before you applied for your visa? Did you book a one-way flight? Please can you clarify printing the "barcode" for the Biometric Testing. Is this before or after the testing? Thank you.

@nwadTAN No, you do not book a flight, you get near the booking lol.. just start the process of booking a flight but do not pay for it. You will have an itinerary at that point. Print it off, this is what you send. The barcode comes with your biometrics appointment you set up after you process the online visa. hope this helps, if not let me know, and I will try to give you further detailed information. Good Luck!!! xx

@CNepusz Yes- he needs to be in England to get started with income and housing so that he has a support base set up for you. I think in only extreme occasions do they allow you to apply when the sponsor (your fiance) is with you out of home country. Remember your sponsor will need to have 3 months of income and evidence sent for your application!
