Recently, Oakland resident Lorenzo Hall won a case against OPD for planting a gun on him. While incarcerated for the alleged gun possession, which would have been Hall's third strike-- potentially sending him to jail for life, he fired his attorney and got the original case against himself dropped. Hall ultimately won his case against Officer Ramon Alcantar and the Oakland Police Department. The judge's decision came with an award of $175,000 in damages.
Watch the video for more details on what happened in Mr. Hall's own words.
