I'm still very curious.. Why did you not choose to take the same sort of path you did with Superbook in the 80s? I think that's one thing you really need to do again. Superbook was very successful in Japan and it could possibly be like that again today.
@stopthemachine yeah, but they could use the experience from Tatsunoko Productions for this 3D version, it´s like watching Speed Racer next generation
@KiddJetix It would be nice to think that they could, but FLYING HOUSE was never quite as popular as SUPERBOOK--although equally as enjoyable. Side note: I love the incidental music from FLYING HOUSE; it's very catchy.
I applaud CBN's effort to produce a whole-new series with animation "up-to-par" with today's standards. The original series was a tremendous success overseas in Asia which also prompted an American interest in the series as well as an awakened awareness for anime in general in the early 80's. We should thank the early efforts of Mr. Robertson for his vision and also the late Billie Lou Watt and Ray Owens for lending their voice talents and writing abilities to this precursor to the new series.
Oh this looks great! I remember seeing the older version of the series. :)
