David, take a trip to Grover's website and read a little bit about his mission statement. Or better yet, watch some you-tube videos by Thomas Sowell or Milton Friedman. Someday you will understand. Less taxes, less gvt, more freedom!

People that advocate a massive diminishement of the federal government in favor of letting the private sector determine our society in totality need to consider what would happen when the private sector shits it pants, which history tells us it always does.

many things had to do with the financial doom. Clintons minority housing started this(force banks to lend to people who cant afford to pay it back and cant read)after 9 11 greenspan who wasnt appointed by bush kept rates too low. then Buah is to blame for starting the Obama shift of wealth by bailing out some banks, then this allowed obama to do anything and his followers just say well bush did it so we can do it 50 times worse....now tax hikes and pay dictation will be the final straw.....

Norquist is really full of it. The financial crisis is the result of the re-emergence of Reaganomics, which were bankrupting and creating financial crises back then as they are now. Norquist is largely responsible for turning Reagan and his failed presidency into a myth, which allowed for the revival of Reaganomics under Bush II.

He's truly a pathetic and deceiving man who either beliefs his own BS or is just intellectually dishonest.

Isnt Norquist one of the Fairtax moonies -- -the lunatic group that pretends to be able to get about half of government revenue - by taxing the government?

Fairtax sounds great -- but the math is based on getting the government to pay itself the world's highest sales tax. They actually count that as income.
