  • Don't call people stupid when you possess a dimmer intelligence, methane may be a greenhouse gas but methane hydrate has been trapped in lattices.

Burning it won't release methane, it is BURNED therefore the byproducts are still carbon dioxide and water.

It CAN power the planet and it's burning produces less monoxide and NO sulphur oxides compared to crude oil, making it burn cleaner.

Go to wiki, type in methane hydrate and READ.

  • if it aint hot enough to burn him, it aint good

  • This clown wants us to green-house ourselves to death.

So what if we have enough oil or gas or coal, the problem

is NOT that we're running out of fuel, but that we're running

out of AIR to burn it with!!! Moron!

  • Here's a legit reference look up a document called: Documentation of the Results from the (1) Methane Hydrates R&D Conference, and (2) The Chevron Texaco JIP Workshop Held in Denver Colorado September 29th – October 1 2003. And see if their concerns about blowouts don't sound alot like events leading to the deepwater horizon disaster. Proposed method of extraction involved seawater used as drilling fluid and "twin" boreholes. Sound familiar? Leg III JIP is where MC252 is located.

  • i could call you stupid for using wikipedia as a legit reference..

  • its amazing how some animals can survive at such extreme depths and pressure's that we can barely reach with all our sophisticated technology.

  • 3000 years before peak USGS study.

  • lolol indeed

  • INdeed. You wont have to worry about "Climate Change" in space. A HUGE bridge for space exploration....but if we were to use it on this planet.....we're done for.
