All of the "Musicians" you guys are talking about have sold Millions and Millions of songs.

Music is ALL about PREFERANCE. If I asked what was your favorite color, and you said blue, is there be any point in me saying "Blue sucks, that is the worst color" now that could be my opinion, but that dosent make me right. or you right for likeing it.

I was giving you examples of real music--real talent. rap, hip/hop and other genres often use rock songs and remix them (e.g. eminem) or copy them completely (e.g. vanilla ice). i agree that marshall mathers isnt necessarily among the worst rappers but as a whole rap is rediculous. its just beats from a machine and someone spewing out words and when there is "singing" it is mostly through a machine so much so that the rapper's voice is unrecognizable. its a joke. what truth does Eminem speak?

rap lyrics rock lyrics it's all the same. lyrics are lyrics. you write the same thing. anyone can rap, rap isn't a talent. but singing rock is hard you need real talent to do that. you hit high notes and stuff. jus listen to some of the greatest rock singers Jim Morrison Freddie mercury mickjagger that's real talent.

@GigagamOr I'd rather not waste my time writing rap music. besides, rockers have been writing true music and going mult-platinum for decades--way before rap. what substance can ever be found in rap? its a joke. i could write some simple poetry about impregnating my girlfriend and beating her while on a heroine high then doing a drive by after collecting drug money from a rival gang, then get a drum machine and call it "art." wow! i just summarized all of rap.

It is still a form of art. Music is something so relative, it depends on personal taste. As for real music and real talent, everything could be talent too if I can put it that way, rhyming is a form of art. Eminem speaks mostly about life. Shitty life that is.
