Hysterical and the main thing is that Truman looked like he was enjoying it aswell.

"spot on"

wonderfull!

I also want to point that there is nothing "gay" about Little's impersonation here. I'm sure you're assuming that the voice and the arm movements are what makes this "gay."
Let me tell you something: There is nothing "gay" about a person's voice or a person's body language. There is no assigned "gay" speech or "gay" movements. Society makes those and people adopt it.
This is funny because this is a dead-on impersonation of Capote. Not because of any "gay jokes."
Get a grip.

I'm sure Truman Capote had a strong enough personality to be able to laugh at himself every now and again.
I guess that's why it's called a ROAST.

@michaels7 I'd have to disagree with you on that, I think he thoroughly enjoyed the gay jokes, that was in a timr where gay jokes were much more accepted and I don't think he was offended in the least
I think the joke that offended him was the last one "I wish I could be going with you reflecting on Capote's book In Cold Blood
You can see on his face that he didn't like that one very much, but held in his contempt

I find it quite offensive and painful to watch. Capote's forced laugh, accepting the
rampant anti gay comedy of the era. It is likely that Capote was deeply hurt by the
cruel and superficial take on him.

@tsbuoy looks like actress Jean Simmons to me
