Yaa Asantewaa & the Golden Stool Trailer 30 min DVD on sale. http://www.aserendipitousproduction.com/apps/webstore/
In Ghana we have a chair, made of pure gold; it descended from the sky 300 years ago and is the physical embodiment of the Ashanti nations soul. On March 28th 1900 The British Governor to the Gold Coast stood in front of a crowd of Kings and Queens and demanded golden chair for Queen Victoria. With Queen Yaa Asantewaa I in the crowd, a simple handover was not going to happen.

The story of Yaa Asantewaa and the Golden Stool of Ashanti is told by her decedents and uses photos taken by British officers in the 1896 and 1900 campaigns to Ashanti.
