having listened to 30 or more renditions of this opus, many several times, this is the stand alone BEST RENDITION - best phrasing, emphasis, timing, best dynamic range and almost other worldly detuned in ever so hauntingly appropriate manner with the exact amount of sustain that Chopin - if he could - would rise from the dead to give a standing ovation! even this hyperbole flatlines against this rendition. What do you think?

la tristezza + toccante attraverso note che non perdonano il + gelido degli animi...invitando l'uomo a vivere in pace...il mondo offre spazio vitale per tutti...l'amore è migliore dell'odio, il rispetto è essenziale, la guerra distrugge, la pace costruisce...un testimone come "il pianista" emoziona così tanto...da rabbrividire...

E' che la storia umana è devastazione e odio, bilanciata in minima parte dall'arte
(come nel film, peraltro).
