Man, was Aqualung right...
So begins a very pathetic attempt to LPMW an NES game by Rare/Acclaim/whoever else by name of Ironsword: Wizards&Warriors II. Guess what? People say it stinks! "That's right, it STINKS!!" ...whoa there, Rocky. Anyway. This actually is a game I played a fair bit of in my childhood. Never legitimately conquered this game as a kid (always had to use a password or GameGenie code to bypass the Earth spirit/fiend/whatever area), so this could get really ugly/interesting, hoho...Hopefully this won't lead me to inevitably having to use onscreen save states until Malkil himself/the final boss, but we'll just have to see what happens!

...While you were playing!

Splatterhouse 3 is an oooooold game. For Sega.

you walk through a mansion, killing monsters to try and save your family. The game is timed, so you cant really.... Dink aroumd.

  • I actually have beaten this game fairly(yes without passwords or that magic saving trick)...Once. It is indeed crazily hard. Couple of notes though, to help out :

    * That Windbane(and all other magics) can kill all normal enemies in almost a single shot, so use it on any problem you encounter)

    * You are correct, the relics are points only.

    * The best way to hit enemies is either stabbing while crouching or "blade-tapping" them in mid-air. Seems to do the most damage.

  • @BohepansTheThird Oh well. I'd like to think admitting one's problems is a step in the right direction. Shows a bit of manliness. Now, even more manliness would be shown if the problems were fixed and/or an attempt was made to fix them, but eh, oh well. The optimist in me loves to see the good in things, yar...

  • @SuperCrazyLuigi

Admitting is the first step...they just never bothered progressing past that point. XD

  • @BohepansTheThird Oh man. XD "Welp, we know that the game's a ton of argh-inducing arghness, so we're going to put one of the high-score names as UGH to show it. We're not actually going to change anything about it, but still, they need to know." XD

  • @SuperCrazyLuigi

I'm fairly sure it actually is one of the preset high score names. Interpret that as you will. XD I interpret that as self-awareness, myself...

  • @RayvenGreyback1

    I'm afraid I don't know that game, or what console it'd be on, or anyth...well okay, I think I might have heard the *name* before, but I don't believe I know anything beyond that. ^_^;

  • @BohepansTheThird

sorry for the late reply. youtube FAILED to inform me that you replied :D

XD you're just epic Bohepans. *nods her head* you need to make a long play of splatterhouse 3 :D Whenever you get the time. cause.. hearing you rant about the monsters and shit.

  • @BohepansTheThird. I got through the game up to the final boss without any cheats, but even with password manipulation I couldn't beat the final boss bc i needed the smiley face scroll(familiar?) that turns monsters into magic pellets, but the closest one was a ways away from boss and i couldnt start with one using pass. manipulation. And yes, David Wise ftw!

  • @BohepansTheThird Butter knife! Yeah, it probably would be, considering...I just wonder if that UGH being there is natural or player-inflicted. XD
