LYRICS-
Not quite fully awake, the silly strangeness of last night's dreams still lingers somewhere between my eyelashes.
Lemons, yellow bright hinting at
whats to come in a few minutes -
the first warm golden rays peeking out
from behind Black Mountain.
That mountain, over there.

The metal kettle is in use,
once again in the same way as before,
taking out the cold from the water and
leaving only warmth and comfort
It goes on, and then goes off
Thats it.

Just some warm, clear, pure water and squirt, or two
or three
or four
or five
of the juice of one lemon.

Squirting, releasing its healing, encouraging, nurturing essences into the air mostly, but
a few squirts do manage to make it into the hot water.

This is me, here, now, gently nudging this body of mine to begin to receive the day.

Brazilian acupuncturists, Indian yogis, and Chinese herbalists aren't the only ones who know
the benefits of this morning elixir.
A Greek god (or a beautiful man I met in Mexico one day) introduced the magic of this elixir to me.
Lemon, not oranges he says,
wakes up the enzymes in your stomach
The yang energy of mornings and of waking ups
needs and appreciates the warm encouragement of
this warm water elixir, she says.

I say that before the rest of the rats have arisen frantically,
I have the gentlest, most cajoling little number
to wake my body up,
cleanse it,
prepare it for each next moment
that may or may not arrive as expected.

Completing the digestive processing work
that carried on through the night,
like those ever so diligent mid-night
construction men on the highways.

Sure, some may choose to work this elixir hard,
requiring it to take on the role of
a weight-loss aid, a relief for constipation,
alkalining and detoxification -
the internal food processing units -
washing the GI tract and flushinf the kidneys, left and right

Others just value the simplicity in the refreshing and cleaning warm drink that lends an expansive quality to
the morning routine.

And then its over, the lemons have been discarded,
the kettle back in its place,
the cobwebs are bustling with their residents
as the spiders of this garden prepare for the day.

As the rest of the rats slugglishly prepare for
the next leg of the human race.

  • @gukonni Whatever meat it is, just squeeze lemon juice over them, it'll kill the bacteria, toxins, etc. in them. The benefits of chemotherapy can be found in this wonder fruit—Lemon! Did you know that? So, this fruit should always be part of our diet since it can actually help prevent cancer... Hope I helped... ;)

  • If you could adjust the volume. I can hardly hear you. :(

  • But ORGANIC raw meat. You have to pretty much do it yoruself. Don't buy from the factory farms. It's FILLED with toxics and meat that was cut from an unhealthy animal. Healthy animals that roam free provide for us the best meat.

  • As you can tell I'm not pro-vegetables or pro-fruit. Not the least of which that the human body doesn't absorb fruits or vegetables well. Yes, there're problems in how we grow and so forth, but on average, our body absorbs and uses meat products an dairy products far more productively. A life long consumption of these things will make you smarter too. Many studies link meat eating to increased IQ. And if you want to live to 95, the best way is to consume raw meat.

  • And one other thing.. lemons destroy your teeth. Most fruits do. Studies have shown that fruit eaters by and large have many more instances of cavities and enamel loss and dentures and so on. It's really quite disgusting what fruits do to us.

  • ...Furthermore, most lemons have the common nitrates and fertilizer toxics contained in most vegetables bought in the US. A lifelong consumption of these products results in the various diseases and cancers that have been conclusively linked to the use of these fertilizers. I would recommend a steady diet of meat to boost your bone strength and reduce the cancers. Cheese is a wonderful complimentary food along with eggs for overall health - no fertilizers to worry about either.

  • Lemons are acidic. The alkaline component that everybody talks about is digestion linked and overall has ZERO affect on the body. In fact, the areas affected by this alkalinity actually become weakened as a result of the process and this can lead to bacterial growths in the digestive track that can cause many types of cancers. Additionally, the vitamin C leeches minerals from your bones and will give you bone cancers and hip problems and leg problems that will require surgical replacement....

  • @Ladyhawkwright same here, i don't drink coffee anymore, i drink tea (preferably white as it's a potent antioxidant) instead...way more healthier without the crash coffee brings.

  • I love lemon water. The rest of the family is sluggish after their coffee but I am hyped and ready to go.

  • I just watched this for the first time...omg, this is my favorite one! Good job, yo...nice choice of music...
