Seattle Police Misconduct Camera 1

On March 11, 2010, Miguel and Hugo were about to return to Yakima, Washington, when they were stopped and detained by four Seattle Police Officers. Both were subjected to profanity, threats, taunting, intimidation and wrongful detention. Miguel was booked in jail on a simple misdemeanor charge of Negligent Driving, which was ultimately dismissed for "proof issues" after his attorney brought the video to the City Attorney's attention. An internal investigation began wherein officers claimed they were only using profanity to "de-escalate the situation with known gang bangers." Three of the four officers were suspended for less than 3 weeks each for "profanity." The video here was only obtained after multiple denials from the police department and months of delay.
