@rexboy6 that is correct, in the 14th century people killed people with swords and spears. But in a technologically advanced society moving forward in a progressive way, I can only wonder where guns fit into the equation. Perhaps they will always be around, and thats just the reality we will forever live with.

@ZidaneSteiner it's also that i like the fact that there are guns. sounds horrible right? but you should think about it when people would still kill people with medieval swords.

@rexboy6 You are absolutely correct, but as a society moving forward we have to ask ourselves if its necessary to have deadly weapons readily available in our society. It seems to have made more sense in the 18th-19th centuries than it does in the 21st and beyond. The problem with guns in America is more the issue of freedom, as Americans don't like to be told what to do, in almost any sense.
