In 1967, noted railroad photographer, Emery Gulash filmed the railroads serving his hometown area of Detroit, Michigan. During this year he recorded, in color, six major railroad company freight train operations. This presents the viewer with a complete record of what railroading was like during this time period.
A full range of diesel engine models, including a trio of 'demonstrator' SD-45s, will be seen at work for their respective railroads. Many types of freight cars and cabooses, which have vanished from today's railroads, are clearly seen. Scenes include views of line side signals, train order masts, and interlocking towers. This is truly a visual slice of history.
First shot was at Romulus, 4th shot was at Carleton, and the 6th shot was a Eastbound at Romulus.

Apparently, you don't care for Rail History. Most of these roads and locomotives are gone or at least with locos widely resigned to short lines. Too bad you're sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Ok, this video has some mistakes ALREADY. The opening scene with the N&W train is not Carleton its Romulus, MI. The Scene with the C&O U-boats is not Plymouth its actully CARELTON.
