Seattle's tolerance of outsiders extends to fellow Oregonians and the hearty Alaskans, because of similiar mindsets. We are prejudiced to outsiders. The city is polluted and overpopulated. Traffic is a nightmare. People who move here lose their initial infatuation with the landscape and the ridiculous stereotypes of what Seattle is since Hollywood milked us. Our city has been sophisticated and robbed of what made Seattle unique. "Get back to where you once belonged..."

Are you in Australia right now?

Although (I appreciate) your comments (,) you (should) use (parentheses) a whole (lot) less.

(1) - I grew up in the (Beautiful) Seattle now sadly (smothered) under over-crowded sprawling development and (traffic choked streets). Where the Kent valley was predominently farmland - and marshes full of frogs and other wildlife. Where I-5 (S. Seattle) at 6:am on a Sun. morn. - you would see only 3 other cars.
-
(2) - Where crime (seemed to be) non-existant. Where the Univ. of Washington Huskies were the (main) sports focus. And (no one) could (possibly grasp) what Im talking about unless they actually experienced things (first-hand) - back (then). Thank god my growing-up years were spent in that (by-gone) (Paradise) compared to todays (crowded), (sprawling), and (over-developed) mess (in comparison) ! ! !

I went there for a few days..really spendy place to visit..seems every resturant thinks their some kind of special place to eat, advrage price for a meal is $35. Plain cup of coffee is $4. Homeless ppl everywhere..some of them quite scary..yelling,begging,blockin
g your way as you try to walk by them...I will never go back there...its just a highly over rated place to visit... -
