Profiles designers all over the globe whose work shapes our lives. In this episode, German architect Ole Scheeren discusses his design of the CCTV headquarters in Beijing.
@SergeiSchlamassl can any skyscraper be in human scale? we are not designing a house here, and big projects requires a different kind of thinking, not every architect is capable of that.
even it's not too much worth to mention it, but the design is a kind of a copy of the MAX REINHARDT Tower from PETER EISENMAN, designed in 1992. what is more important to say is, that the cctv tower is just ugly without any human scale and the facade is just grey in grey like the weather always be in beijing. mr. koolhaas, mr. scheeren, do u both were thinking of that when u were designing it?
