@Trinith that's what i felt like at first, too, but it is kind of growing on me.... But the nice thing is that it looks shit now and it will look shit five years from now, and you can't say that about the newest hottest thing out there....

Hello kfallscody!
I got my Versys today, a green one with ABS. It was 2 degrees, I think it is 36.6 in Fahrenheit. It was very cold so I only drove for a of hours, I hope I can share some clips from sweden to the summer, but I must get me a a god camera first.

Get a balaclava for cold weather riding. Makes a world of difference.

Goddamn!.....pretty much says it all.
Congratz big boy.
Hmm, why do you have high beam on all the time? Just in case you're not used to _daylight_ riding: you can turn it off!
Anyway, have fun with your Versys :)

Well when I was studying the motorcycle license book, before getting my license, it said motorcycle riders are allowed and encouraged to have their high beams on during the day. Before that though, I had read and been told to keep your high beams on during the day, as long as it is not overcast. Anything you can do to increase your visibility is a _GOOD_ thing.

Recheck the valve thing, 1st valve job is at 24.000km on the 650R, shouldn't be any different on the Versys.

You are correct. Appears the 600 mile service is an oil change and a 24 point check. I think I can handle doing that myself.. :)
