  • was this Hassans first and only defeat?

  • @13FSL13 No, his first defeat came at the hands of John Cena. He also lost to Shawn Michaels and Hogan.

  • Even now, Hassan draws better heat than a majority of wrestlers.

  • @EvilJeter You also have to understand 2 things. One, his gimmick was to hate Americans. So in most places they travel, he isn't likeable. Two, todays crowds are majority kids and are two young to understand the magnitude of a heel.

  • @TheChaserofSouls His gimmick wasn't to hate Americans. His gimmick was to point out how ignorant and hateful AMERICANS are. People who think he hated Americans only prove his point. He spoke NOTHING but the truth but ignorant rednecks just keep chanting USA not realizing Hassan wasn't anti-USA. He was anti-ignorance. Unless ignorance and USA are one in the same....

  • @Luxiebabee At the end of the day, hating Americans is what he did. I agree with you.

  • His theme was fucking epic!!!!, man I wish he was back!

  • It's too bad Hassan didn't stick around longer. If I remember correctly, he drew a good amount of heat.

  • @crumpton4 yeah sorry. I knew it was something to do with some kind of terrorist attack. Just got it mixed up. Apologies.

  • @EchoFalls1982 9/11 took place nearly four years before this, three years before Hassan first debuted. The WWE took Hassan off the air because people were going ape shit over the fact that people perceived as terrorists were on-air a few days after the London bombings. WWE pulled the plug on Hassan and released him. He hasn't appeared since.

  • They felt like they had to get rid of hassan as 9/11 happened shortly around that time. They felt like something might have actually happened to him and that the crowd would take his gimmick too seriously at the time. If he was around now, it would of course be different but at the time, the WWE (WWF then) felt it was inappropriate.

  • Imagine how great of a heel champion he would of been if he was still around

  • I think he was a good wrestler but its sad how they treated him after though.

  • The Azan was too much. They shouldn't have done that
