This video is In answer to a specific question asked by Frank in the MS access hints and tips web site here: http://msaccesshintsandtips.ning.com/forum/topics/select-an-item-in-a-listbox

THE QUESTION:
Hi,
I need to select (highlight) the first item in a llstbox in order to ensure that a piece of code operates, but I cannot remember how to do this in code on the opening of the form obtaining the listbox.
The form is called frmListRecd and the listbox is called lstRecd.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Frank

Recorded with the free online screen casting program "screen castle" which can be found here: http://screencastle.com I also transferred the video from the screen castle site to the youtube site, a very easy process which I may have to do a video about one day!

  • Hello, These are great videos. I have learned a lot. In the primary key field "ID" when you are at the new record spot of entering data and it hasn't updated the database. The ID field has (AutoNumber) as a default. Can you show me how to leave the Primary Key field blank until the database has been updated?
