  • connecting the other 2 monitor's by vga means you cant have 5760x1080,,you need dvi,dvi then i use the cheap displayport to vga on the third and i get 5760x1080 on my 3 AOC e2243f,,,21.5 inch monitors

  • @uscmstormdog My brother has three 21.6 inch monitors, and connects one screen via VGA --> VGA --> display port (passive adapter) and it works fine for him, side for the screen turning off and on again for about 2 seconds every day or two. His adapter cost 4.99

Right, there is no passive dp-vga adapter exists. They are all active by default.

  • yo dude, could you link me up with that adapter? i have a VGA monitor that i would like to hook up to the DPP on my 5770.. Just pm me(:

  • there's no such thing as a passive DP->VGA adapter, the adapter is powered by the DP on the card. DP = Digital, VGA = Analog. So there has to be an ACTIVE conversion from one to the other.
