  • what has she done with this tuning? looks like an open tuning that she capo'd the g,b&e at the 2nd fret and then just changes the bass notes while keeping the high strings constant?? if any guitar players know what's going on here, please comment, i'd like to learn to play it this way. thx in advance

  • I got to see her at the Tommy Emmanuel concert in Champaign, IL last night. She sang this song - first time I'd heard it. Beautiful, beautiful song - thank you for posting this!

  • @geetarmano Tune down to Drop D and then its basically always a D major (sus2) with a baseline added: F# - G - C# - D

At least for the Verse :) But using those chords and some B minor you'll figure out the rest :)

  • great song!Saw her in Milan in 2009, amazing!

  • awesome...thanks for posting this!

  • @geetarmano you can find the chords in a forum on Tommy Emmanuel's website. Just type it in google and you should find it within a minute! Very easy song to play and great song to listen to :) Cheers and happy playing!!

  • Any body know the chords? I love this song soo much..

  • I love my wonderful friends!

  • Beautiful song! Their voices are timeless, they havn't changed at all.. I first heard "Western Fires" 20? years ago and bought that album.. Still like that song, going to look for it now.
